Greg Padget
he/him/his
Community Manager
Strengths:
Greg is the best at relationship-building. He has a huge network of connection points and resources that he utilizes to get members plugged in where they need it most. He's also extremely methodical and can look at a problem (and possible solution) from all angles before making a concrete decision.
Background:
Before joining the FBC team, Greg helped beginning farmers create business plans, seek mentorship, and source resources to start their own farms. He's also started his own farm/fiber business and uses those skills while experiencing many of the challenges and successes that our members are going through.
Something you should know:
When Greg joined the FBC, he was seeking a community of like minded individuals. That is exactly what he found, not only a group that had the same interest as him, but who each had their own unique perspective as well. That blend has been so valuable to him as he works to build his business of selling his farm wool to those who make with that wool.
As the FBC Community Manager, he is excited to work with all our members in accomplishing their goals and build their own community. Running our own businesses can be isolating, the FBC has helped him feel less isolated.
Outside of the FBC:
In addition to his role in the FBC, he is a stay-at-home dad for his three adopted sons.
Greg and his husband bought their farm with a vision of starting his fiber business and raising food to feed their family. They are slowly working towards both those ideas while caring for their family and the mental needs that come with adopting older kids who started life with trauma.
